About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Social Systems Lab at Dartmouth College, working with Thalia Wheatley on the behavioral markers of social connectedness.

I earned my PhD in Psychology in 2018 from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where I studied the perception, social functions, and cultural shapers of nonverbal signals with my advisor, Paula Niedenthal. My B.A. is from Colorado College, where I majored in psychology with distinctions and minored in music. I am a proud Kansas Citian and lover of dogs, oil painting, piano, and skiing.

Navigate to the research page for a description of ongoing research lines and to the publications page for references. My blog gives me an occasional excuse to write about animal emotions. You can also find me on Researchgate and Twitter.
